Casasol ECO Basic

ECO BASIC by Casasol is a blend of different ecologic natural fibers.

ECO BASIC by Casasol is made of recycled wool with GRS certificate (Global Recycled Standard), recycled viscose also with the GRS certificate, bamboo, and linen.

This blend makes this an ideal material for knitting spring and autumn garments or for all seasons in warm weather areas. ECO BASIC by Casasol is also an ideal yarn for making home decor, accessories, etc.

ECO BASIC by Casasol is sold in half kilo cones, a perfect format for making garments without lots of knots. With this Casasol yarn, you can knit, crochet, weave, punch needle, macrame...

ECO BASIC by Casasol is born with 3 purposes:

1. End with textile waste.
2. That all the material used in its manufacture is reusable.
3. Maintain Casasol quality. Therefore, even if it is recycled material, the fibers have been separated, and it has not been mixed with acrylic yarns.

Casasol remains faithful to its principles of sustainable yarns and with a positive social impact that creates a better world for the next generation. That is why they have created an alliance with a textile recycling company located in the same province that separates the garments one by one manually to select the fibers they want to use.

The process is simple but at the same time complex, as the clothing is selected piece by piece. Once selected, it is sent to an industrial guillotine to shred it, the quality of the mixture is rechecked so that it is optimal, and it is passed through a card that transforms it into textile fleece yarn. This fleece is spun and twisted to ensure the firmness and strength of the yarn, and ends are added to give it the necessary thickness.

The process does not involve dyeing, nor any addition of water or chemical substances, in this way a yarn of recycled clothing is obtained without any environmental impact and without generating any kind of carbon footprint. Its manufacture is totally respectful with the environment.

ECO BASIC by Casasol is a 4 ply yarn perfect to knit with 3-5mm needles.

Hand wash with lukewarm water or machine wash in a delicate cycle. Dry flat.
