Description

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé is a lovely effect yarn spun in superfine alpaca.

To create this yarn, the alpaca fibers have not been treated or exposed to any chemical treatment prior to dyeing. This highlights the fiber’s natural properties, while it also provides a better shape and texture quality.

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé gets its name for the small pure alpaca loops ("bouclé" in French) that are so characteristic of this yarn. These alpaca loops are spun on a base thread made of wool and nylon, that gives the yarn strenght.

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé contains some mixed colors. These colors have been obtained by carding the different colors of alpaca fleece together before spinning. 

Garments made in DROPS Alpaca Bouclé are light and fluffy. With 3 yarn balls you can knit a small shawl and with 7 you can make a light long-sleeved cardigan in size L, although you must make a tension gauge to be sure.
