Description

DROPS Andes is a thick yarn spun from 2 strands in the traditional combination of 65% Peruvian Highland wool and 35% superfine alpaca. The wool provides stability to the garments while the alpaca gives it shine and silky surface.

The fibers used for DROPS Andes yarn balls have not been treated or exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. They have only been washed and this highlights the fiber’s natural properties, while it also provides a better shape and texture quality.

Among the range of colors of DROPS Andes you will find yarn balls in solid colors and some mixed colors. These mixed colors are obtained by carding the colored fleece together before spinning the yarn, which gives it the beautiful mixed effect.

DROPS Andes is the perfect choice for last minute presents and quick to knit garments. Very easy to work with thick needles and hooks and ideal for felting, DROPS Andes is perfect for winter garments, accessories and home decor projects.

To knit an extralarge scarf you only need 4 yarn balls and just with 1 you can quickly make a hat. To make a blanket you may need between 10 and 15 yarn balls, depending on the technique and how big you want it.
