Description

Made of 65% wool from sheep raised in the peruvian highlands and 35% of alpaca superfine, DROPS Flora is a fingering yarn available in 21 pretty colors.

By composition, DROPS Flora is very similar to DROPS Lima, but being much finer it has a drape and lightness that it is ideal for knitting the most famous colorwork patterns of the moment. If you still don't dare to knit with the wonderful  hand dyed yarns, patterns like Alden or Gardengate by Jennifer Steingass, or Birkin or Sipila by Caitlin Hunter, Pink Velvet by Andrea Mowry... and many others, will turn out perfect with this yarn.

DROPS Flora is a warm and soft yarn. The perfect combination of wool and alpaca make of this yarn the perfect choice to knit jumpers that protect you from the cold weather without being to warm. Alpaca fiber is shiny, soft and resistand, and combined with the elasticity of the wool they make of this yarn a delight to knit with.

To knit a simple long-sleeved sweater in size L you will need 7 yarn balls of DROPS Flora. Remember that this is only an indication and for a more accurate estimation you have to make a swatch because your own tensión, the pattern and the technique you chose will modify the yarn ball number calculation.
