Drops Muskat

DROPS Muskat is a 100% mercerized cotton yarn available in a wide range of colors. Being mercerized, this yarn has a subtle shine that will make your cotton garments look more elegant and with a satinated feel.

Mercerization in a chemical process that cotton undergoes to make it more resistant. In this process, the cotton not only becomes stronger but also gets the ability to absorb the pigments better in the dyeing process. Which is the reason why mercerized cottons like DROPS Muskat have more vivid and saturated colors, an ideal feature for amigurumis or children's clothes. But the first thing that tells us that a thread is mercerized is its characteristic shine that reflects the light so well in our projects.

Another advantage of DROPS Muskat is that being a mercerized yarn it is much more twisted. This means that the multiple thin strands that it is spun from do not split when knitting or inserting the crochet hook, a feature that makes this yarn ideal for beginners.
