Drops Puna

DROPS Puna is a deliciously soft yarn made of 100% superfine alpaca. These light and fluffy yarn balls are perfect to knit warm garments that are in contact with the skin.

Alpaca fibers in DROPS Puna have not been exposed to any chemical treatment prior to dyeing. This highlights the natural properties of the fibers, which acquire a better shape and quality of texture. It also means that they do not have any superwash treatment, so you will have to wash your clothes by hand, unless you want to do a felted project, such as a delicate hat or soft and warm mittens.

DROPS Puna yarn have been made from 4 threads of superfine alpaca, spun in DK thickness. It is available in natural and soft colors, consistent with the texture that this yarn transmits.

With these yarn balls you can create wonderful knitted and crocheted garments, light and comfortable. Try knitting simple jumpers where the beauty of the yarn stands out, or use it in delicate colorwork projects. To knit a long sleeved sweater in size L in stockinette stitch you will need about 10 yarn balls of DROPS Puna.
