Description

DROPS Safran is a cotton yarn made of large Egyptian combed cotton fibers.

Egyptian cotton is the cotton variety with the longest fiber. The longer the fibers of the cotton with which it is spun, the finer, softer, more flexible and resistant the resulting thread is, and therefore the projects that you make with it.

I addition, being combed cotton, these properties are further enhanced. Combed cotton is a softer version of regular cotton. After harvesting the seed and before spinning, the cotton goes through a procedure in which the shorter fibers and other impurities are removed, and the longer threads are aligned, such as a carding process in which the cotton in combed. This practice makes the resulting yarn softer, stronger and with a more stable quality. In addition, it reduces the possibility of pilling on our garments.

On the other hand, the spinning method used to get DROPS Safran (twisting the strands in pairs and then twisting them again together) creates a durable and resistant yarn, with fabulous texture properties.

Garments made with DROPS Safran will not only look great, but they'll stand the test of time wonderfully well.
