Kitten base by Sóc una troca!!! is 100% merino wool from sustainable farms, hand-dyed with ecological dyes in an enviromentally friendly process.

Kitten is a supersoft, delicate and squishy yarn, perfect to knit garments that will be in direct contact with your skin: sweaters, cowls, shawls...

The twist of Kitten skeins is also good for consider it to knit 100% natural socks, without nylon.

Also, Kitten base by Sóc una troca!!! has superwash treatment, allowing to machine wash your garments in a delicate cycle and low temperature without risks. Anyways, Laia recommends to hand wash your garments if you can.

Laia is the indie-dyer behind the brand Sóc una troca!!!. Musicologist by training, her concern for the natural environment and sustainability makes her take her work as a hand-dyer in Sóc una Troca!!! with an holistic approach. From the selection of the raw source (sustainable high-quality wool from cruelty-free farms) and pigments (ecological, natural and organic dyes, free from heavy metals), to the care in the procedures in the moment of dyeing, labelling (recycled paper printed by herself) and transport, everything though in detail to create the minimum environmental impact.

All dyes that Laia uses in her color formulas comply with the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OEKO-TEX regulations. The techniques she applies do not leave toxic residues in the water, that can be reused once and again in several dye lots before being disposed of without damaging the aquatic environment.
