Description

Katia Big Merino is a basic of this Spanish yarn brand.

Big Merino by Katia is a perfect blend of Merino wool with superwash treatment with acrylic. This means that you can knit any garment for daily use with these Katia yarns. They will have a long duration and will not give you maintenance concerns, being able to be machine washed without the risk of shrinkage or damage.

Katia Big Merino is the thickest yarn of Katia's Merino line, and it is ideal for knitting quick projects with 6.5 - 7 mm needles. Each skein weighs 100 grams and contains 80 meters of yarn.

These Katia yarn balls are perfect for knitting or crochet sofa blankets, home decor elements, and thick garments.

To knit a simple long-sleeved pullover in size L with Katia Big Merino, you will need 8 yarn balls. To make a sofa blanket, count on 14 skeins. Remember that these calculations are only an approximation and that your own tension, chosen stitch, and kind of pattern can modify the number.

In addition to knitting and crochet projects, Katia Big Merino skeins can be used for other crafts like canvas embroidery, punch needle, and tapestry.

You will find several models and patterns to knit, crochet, and more with Katia Big Merino on their website and in Katia magazines.
